Meet Theresa

I’m a photographer based in my hometown of Chicago, Il and am very lucky to have met some remarkable couples that have allowed me to document their weddings.

In college I studied photojournalism and after moved around a bit living in Ohio and Texas for a few years working as a photojournalist. I then came back to Chicago and started out as a freelance photographer in late 2007. When returning a friend asked me to help shoot a couple of weddings and here I am.

I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to document a family’s celebration creating the heirloom images that will be shown of their momentous day for generations to come. I can’t even describe how amazing it is to even be a small part of that.

Some things about me:  listen to NPR, like red wine & coffee, watch documentary films & programs, read nonfiction books, love my three fur babies Chloé, Chance, & Stella (all Boston Terriers), love the lakefront, love road trips, know a little Spanish & French, love to use my passport……

My wedding photos have been published in Brides Chicago and People magazines

While living in Texas I had the opportunity to freelance for publications such as The New York Times, USA Today, Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, and the Associated Press.
Since returning to Chicago I have freelanced for the Chicago Tribune and the Sun Times News Group & have won plenty of photography awards too
