One of my brides from last year has a wedding blog She’s Not The Marrying Kind and recently posted her wedding story and planning experience on said blog. It was picked up and posted on the blog A Practical Wedding today!

It’s coming up on almost a year since I took this trip and keep meaning to get in and edit some more images. They have just been sitting and waiting patiently in a folder on my desktop so it was time.

This may sound obvious but I just felt like a true tourist on this trip even though the thought of actually being a tourist makes me think of National Lampoons movies. Well I am no Clark Griswold and as far as the European vacation part of the movie series goes I only got to see Paris.

The whole city was packed rim to rim with other tourists so that is what I mostly took photos of. The insane amount of tourists. It’s Paris I know, but my god I will seriously have to consider ever visiting again in July. I live in Chicago and still thought there were to many people here all at once! That said I still had a beautiful time and wouldn’t trade it for anything and miss it each time I look at these images.

Tried to get out to catch the fog over the lake this morning but was about ten minutes to late. Maybe the fog will back tomorrow too? Regardless the shot I really wanted was with the ice that usually covers these barricades and has now obviously melted. Unless we have another freeze I will have to wait til next winter.

and my friend Jeremy asked if I wanted to go check it out and take some photos. A total of five people where there from Westboro Baptist protesting everything and anything. I really don’t understand what these people do support other than hate. Anyway was a way to spice up a Monday afternoon. Here are a few pics, a mixed bag of Westboro protesters and local college kids protesting them.
